Genicular nerve blocks (GNB) are increasingly used for perioperative pain management in total knee arthroplasty (TKA), but concerns remain regarding a potential association with periprosthetic joint infection (PJI). This is a retrospective cohort study, using electronic health records, to clarify the infectious safety profile of GNBs and provide evidence to guide perioperative decision-making in TKA.
