Significance and Background
The Commission on Cancer (CoC) and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) have set standards for patient treatment summaries with curative intent. San Diego, with > 3 million residents, includes many self-identified monolingual non-English speaking households , speaking languages other than Spanish. These additional non-English languages include Tagalog (1.49%), Vietnamese (1.08%) and Farsi (0.24%) .
