Gender and health promotion:  A men-friendly approach to smoking cessation


Men continue to smoke during their partner's pregnancy despite knowing the health risks to themselves and to women's postpartum relapse. There is a lack of effective, men-centred approaches to smoking cessation. A men-centred approach to smoking cessation is needed to: support women in their efforts to reduce and stop smoking; support men's health; and create smoke-free homes for children.
