Establishing critical appraisal criteria for implmentation research to promote policy development for nursing

Nationally, the use of evidence to guide healthcare decisions and policy grows over the last two decades as an essential component of evidence-based practice (EBP). Critical appraisal stands as one of the cornerstones of EBP. At the integration phase of the Research Pipeline, the emergence of implementation and dissemination research in the last decade creates a unique opportunity for nurse researchers, clinicians and educators to take leadership roles in guiding its evaluation and application to policy.
